The new business branch brings together the activities already carried out in the gas distribution sector in the four regions where Acea is present: Abruzzo, Campania, Molise, and Umbria.
Acea entered the gas distribution sector in 2007 with the acquisition of 15% of Umbria Distribuzione Gas. The growth path continued in 2019 with the acquisition of 51% of Pescara Distribuzione Gas, a company that managed the entire gas distribution network in the Municipality of Pescara.
In 2020, an agreement was also signed for the acquisition of 51% of Alto Sangro Distribuzione Gas, active in 24 municipalities in the province of L’Aquila.
In 2021, the merger between Pescara Distribuzione Gas and Alto Sangro Distribuzione Gas led to the creation of Adistribuzionegas, further consolidating Acea’s presence in the sector.
Through affiliated companies, 50,000 redelivery points (RdP) are currently managed in Umbria and 124,000 RdP across Abruzzo, Molise, and Campania.
