In 2014, Acea set up a “Euro Medium Term Notes” (EMTN) bond issue programme, which was filed with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
The EMTN programme provides for one or more unsubordinated bonds to be placed with Italian and foreign institutional investors (excluding the United States, pursuant to the U.S. Securities Act of 1933) and listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
The programme, initially approved for the sum of 1.5 billion Euro, was modified during 2018, taking the total amount to 3 billion Euro, then in July 2019, taking the total maximum value to 4 billion Euro, and subsequently in 2021 up to the total amount of 5 billion Euro.

On 19 July 2024, Acea SpA completed the update of its Bond Issuance Programme, called "Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) Programme", filed with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and reserved for institutional investors. The Programme has a maximum ceiling of up to €5 billion.
