Thanks to the cogeneration process, the Tor di Valle thermoelectric power plant simultaneously produces electricity and thermal energy.

The thermal energy is used to supply the district heating network in the Mostacciano, Torrino Sud, and Mezzocamino districts of Rome, which are also managed by Acea.
