The course, which involves 35 students from four regions, aims to train and guide young people towards the professions of the future
Defined by government programmes as “PCTO” (Percorso per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento”, or “Path for Transversal Skills and Orientation” in English), the Acea Group’s 2025 school-work alternation programme is now underway. The new format, called “Generations for the Future” is designed to train and guide young people towards the job market. Developed in collaboration with ELIS Consortium as a continuation of previous programmes, the initiative has now reached its eighth edition and involves around 350 students in their fourth and fifth years from eleven high schools across four regions where the Group operates: Latium, Tuscany, Umbria, and Campania.
The project offers young people the opportunity to engage more closely with the Group’s companies operating in the area, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the companies and their businesses. For fourth-year students, a workshop is also planned: the “Challenge Lab”, which will enable them to tackle challenges and realistic problems using project management methodologies. The project will conclude with the presentation of innovative and sustainable solutions, which will be awarded based on originality and feasibility.
The path for fifth-year students is primarily focused on bringing them closer to the job market. A career guidance module is planned to help them gain a better understanding of the skills required for the most in-demanded job profiles and to create their curriculum vitae. Additionally, they will participate in recruitment sessions with HR representatives from the Group’s companies.
The “Generations for the Future” path aligns with Acea’s social policies, which aim at contributing to the training of new generations by providing them with effective tools to help them make the best career choice at the end of their school years.
